For over 50 years, the men and women of Chico Kiwanis Club have provided nearly half a million dollars for local projects and volunteered thousands of hours of service to others.
Our members believe in forwarding causes that benefit the children of our community. Our club meetings are held once a week and offer an atmosphere of fun, leaning and fellowship.
In our community we are unified in our belief that children and their communities benefit from the efforts of a proficient group of caring and involved volunteers. Does this describe you?

Kiwanis Name
The name “Kiwanis” means “we trade” or “we share our talents.” It was coined from an American Indian expression, Nunc Kee-wanis.
Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities. Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more.

to make a difference?
This truly is an exciting time to be a part of Kiwanis. Clubs are increasing their service to children and communities worldwide and reporting thousands of success stories.
They are building parks, stocking school libraries, providing scholarships, recognizing elementary school students through Kiwanis’ Terrific Kids and Bring Up Grades programs. And more.
Chico Kiwanians, like Kiwanians around the globe, have one common goal: To serve the children of the world. Kiwanis advocates this vision every day by providing opportunities to serve for every member of a community through Service Leadership Programs. Through these opportunities, youth and young adults around the world become competent, capable, and compassionate leaders.
The Chico Kiwanis meet every Wednesday at 12 noon in the Elk's Lodge.
